COVID-19 PROTOCOLS FOR REAL ESTATE
The Government of Canada has deemed Real Estate to be an essential service, and so we remain open for business during any enhanced measures or lock downs implemented by the Provincial Governments.
We are still taking evaluation and listing appointments, as well as new buyer meetings, both in person or virtually via Zoom or FaceTime calls. We are using the following protocols:
In Person Meetings:
We wear masks inside your home or when social distancing is not possible, and sanitize our hands before and after every appointment. We ask that our clients notify us if anybody in their home is sick, has been sick, or has been in close contact with a possible positive case of COVID-19. If the answer to any of those questions is yes, we will ask to reschedule or complete a virtual meeting instead.
All of our meetings can be done virtually through the use of Zoom or FaceTime, or over the phone. While a virtual tour of your home may not be as accurate as in person, we offer this option for anybody who would prefer to avoid close contact or having somebody in their home.
Agents are allowed to bring in a maximum of 2 people plus themselves into listed property for showings, and face masks are mandatory for all showings. We ask that clients keep their hands in their pockets and do not touch anything in the property, as well as sanitize hands prior to and after showings.
If you're unable or uncomfortable leaving your home, we can virtually show you property by booking an in-person viewing, and then using Zoom or FaceTime technology to tour you around the property. Alternatively, many properties are now offering 3D tours of homes like the following:
The safety of our clients is extremely important to us. At any time, our clients can pull their listings from the market if they have concerns over COVID infections within their own home or family.
We screen agents and buyers prior to all showings to verify they are not currently suffering from any illness symptoms, and do contact tracing so that we can identify who has been inside your home.
We are utilizing 3D technology as well as video and high quality marketing to ensure that buyers coming into your property are interested buyers.
